Southern Rail has been named the UK’s worst public transport company, according to a new study.
The research, which was completed by Tempcover, looked at over 3.2 million tweets discussing the UK’s biggest public transport operators. The conversation was then split out according to positive and negative sentiment, giving a list of the UK’s most loved and hated public transport operators – https://www.tempcover.com/best-and-worst-public-transport-operators-in-britain
Southern Rail came out on top as the most hated public transport operator in the UK, with a shocking 72% of tweets sent about them being negative.
Here’s the top 5 most hated train operators:
- Southern Rail – 72% negative tweets
- Great Northern – 71% negative tweets
- Thameslink – 70% negative tweets
- South Western Railway – 69% negative tweets
- Northern Rail – 64% negative tweets
Luckily, there are some operators who keeping their customers much happier, with the Caledonian Sleeper coming out on top, with 76% positive tweets, followed by London North Eastern Railway with 59% positive tweets.
