Police in Carmarthen are investigating four incidents in Peniel, which they believe are linked to quad bike thefts in the area. A burglary, an attempted burglary, and a theft from a van were reported to Dyfed-Powys Police on the morning of Tuesday, July 30. The three crimes happened sometime overnight (from the evening of Monday, July 29). A red Honda quad bike was stolen from a farm, and around £2,000 worth of tools were stolen from a van at a separate property, and officers are appealing to anyone with information to contact them.
They are also appealing for information about a suspicious incident which could be linked. Sometime between 12pm and 12.45pm on Tuesday, July 30, two men were seen towing a red quad bike out of a hedge, with a white van, on the A485 near to the helipad. The van left the area before officers were able to locate it. Anyone who saw the van, or has any information that can help the investigation, is urged to contact police. They are particularly keen to hear from anyone with dash cam footage.
