Swansea is ‘car sex capital of the UK’, according to new study

Popular vehicle leasing firm Select Car Leasing ( https://www.selectcarleasing.co.uk ) asked thousands of Brits if they’d ever enjoyed a ‘steamy windows’ moment in their vehicle.

And Swansea topped the list, with 33 percent of people in the Welsh coastal city saying they’d had sex in a stationary car during their lifetime.

But having a cheeky fumble while parked up wasn’t thrilling enough for some Swansea residents.

The X-rated survey also revealed how 11 percent of Swansea couples had enjoyed sex acts while the car was MOVING – while a third also said their car had seen ‘heavy petting’ .

Residents of Southampton, Worcester, Chelmsford and Liverpool also enjoyed love on four wheels, rather than in the confines of the bedroom, and made up the rest of the top 5.

But it was bad news for Plymouth who featured at the bottom of the car sex table, with just 7 per cent of people there having experienced a vehicular tryst.

Leading motoring expert and Select Car Leasing company director James O’Malley, warned having sex in a car could leave you with a criminal record.

He said: “Many people admitted getting frisky in their cars. It may not be a new phenomenon, but there are laws in place which make a quick fumble a big risk.

“While having sex in a public place is not illegal in itself, the dangers of doing it in your car come from being spotted by members of the public.

“If caught you could be charged with public exposure, indecent exposure of gross indecency – which could result in a fine or if you’re a repeat offender, possible jail time.”

You should also press the brakes on sex in moving cars, too.

James added: “Like any activity that takes a driver’s attention off of the road, having sexual relations with someone while you’re driving can be a danger to yourself, your passengers and other drivers.”

Dangerous driving can lead to a fine, penalty points, disqualification and in the very worst case, jail time.

The survey also revealed other shock stats.

Aberdeen is the ‘car phone sex’ capital of the UK, with 7 per cent of people there having admitted to doing so.

Meanwhile you’re most likely to find a naked driver in Belfast, with 10 per cent of residents having performed the risky manoeuvre.
