‘Thrilling’ Garden makes UK’s Top 500 hotlist/Gardd Wefreiddiol yn cyrraedd y Rhestr 500 Uchaf

The National Botanic Garden of Wales is “hands down one of Britain’s most phenomenal gardens . . . wholly deserving of a full day’s exploration”.

Not our words but what has been written about us by the world’s most iconic travel guide publisher, Lonely Planet.

Their latest title, the Ultimate United Kingdom Travelist – which is out today (August 13) – features the very best of Britain’s unmissable destinations.

It describes the National Botanic Garden as “a thrilling floral romp” which “commands sensational views” and features the biggest single-span glasshouse in the world.

The Garden’s head of marketing, David Hardy said: “We are very honoured to be featured in the ultimate UK travel hot-list. Set in the beautiful Carmarthenshire countryside, the National Botanic Garden of Wales is a fascinating blend of the modern and historic.

There you will find, along with the world’s largest single-span glasshouse, an inspiring range of themed gardens, the British Bird of Prey Centre, a tropical Butterfly House, play areas and a national nature reserve, all set in a Regency landscape which provides the stage for a packed programme of events and courses throughout the year. Gardd Fotaneg Genedlaethol Cymru yw, heb amheuaeth, un o erddi mwyaf rhyfeddol Prydain … yn llawn haeddu diwrnod cyfan i’w harchwilio.

Nid ein geiriau ni ond yr hyn sy’n cael ei ddweud amdanom gan gyhoeddwr arweinlyfr teithio mwyaf eiconig y byd, sef Lonely Planet.

Mae ei gyhoeddiad diweddaraf, Ultimate United Kingdom Travelist – a gyhoeddir heddiw (Awst 13) – yn cynnwys y gorau oll o gyrchfannau Prydain na ellir eu hepgor.

Mae’n disgrifio’r Ardd Fotaneg fel taith wefreiddiol, flodeuog sy’n meddu ar olygfeydd syfrdanol ac sy’n cynnwys y tŷ gwydr un rhychwant mwyaf yn y byd.
