Austin’s most esteemed rock ambassadors, Spoon, today shine a light on their fantastic rarity track ‘Shake It Off’. With a driving upbeat rhythm at its core, ‘Shake It Off’ is a genius nostalgic throwback and solid reminder of Spoon at their prolific best – maintaining their career-long impeccable standards.

The track comes as Spoon round off a monumental tour with Beck & Cage The Elephant. The 30-date jaunt through North America’s amphitheaters began on July 11th at Ridgefield, Washington’s Sunlight Supply Amphitheater, and concluded last week in West Palm Beach, Florida.

‘Shake It Off’ also follows the critically-acclaimed release of Everything Hits at Once: The Best of Spoon. How many rock bands from the past 25 years could get away with a greatest-hits album? Spoon stand alone, with a career-spanning retrospective culled from all over their unique songbook. It’s a flawless compilation of their best-known, best-loved tunes, yet it’s still full of surprises—the only thing you could expect from a band that’s spent their whole career taking people by surprise.

Fender Musical Instruments Corporation (FMIC) have also announced the expansion of its acclaimed artist signature electric guitar offering with their brand new Britt Daniel Signature Telecaster Thinline guitar which was released on September 3rd. The guitar embodies Daniel’s precision-punk style that has fueled Spoon to indie-rock superstardom over the course of the band’s 20-plus year career.
