PRESTON HOMOPHOBIC ASSAULT

Detectives in Lancashire appeal for help to catch the man who launched a savage homophobic attack on a 22-year-old from Preston. Ryan Williams was hospitalized after a stranger shouted abuse and punched him in a violent assault, which took place on Friargate in Preston city centre at around 6.30am on Saturday, 13th July.

The case will be reconstructed on the programme at 9.15am on BBC One and detectives will show CCTV images of the man they wish to speak to about the attack.

 RSPCA CAT APPEAL

On Crimewatch Roadshow Live this morning, we see shocking dashcam footage of the moment a motorist saw a tiny kitten abandoned in the middle of a busy road.

Tazeam Bashir was in Pontypool, in South Wales on June 30th this year when she saw another driver throw the cat from the window of a moving car – and stepped in to try and rescue it.

She will be live on the programme at 9.15am on BBC One, alongside the RSPCA inspector trying to find the person responsible.

 SUSSEX FATAL ARSON

Sussex Police make a heartbreaking appeal after an arson attack which took the lives of a mother and her young son.

In the early hours of 10th July, 2018, Gina Ingles, her partner and her 4 year old son Bailey were asleep at home in Croxden Way, Eastbourne. But just before 1am, a fire broke out at the house. Gina’s partner managed to jump to safety from a first floor window. Tragically, Gina and Milo died in the fire.

On the programme, live at 9.15am on BBC One, detectives will appeal for information to help them catch those responsible.
