Update to murder investigation into Richard Andrews – man arrested

A 48-year-old Neath man has been arrested on suspicion of the murder of Richard Andrews.

Mr Andrews, also known as Monkey was from the Melyn area of Neath. He was reported missing in January 2018, although the last confirmed sighting of him alive was Saturday 16th September 2017.

His body was discovered by a member of the public on Saturday 29th September 2018 on the banks of the River Neath.

The 48-year-old man arrested remains in police custody.

We continue to appeal for information in relation to Mr Andrews’ death.  The independent charity Crimestoppers is today offering a reward of up to £10,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or people responsible for the murder of Richard Andrews.
