South Wales Police is appealing for any witnesses to a single vehicle road traffic collision which happened at about 7.55pm last night (Saturday 28 September) on the A4217 Pentrecwyth Bypass, Swansea.
The collision involved a black Nissan Qashqai, which was travelling from the direction of Llansamlet towards Swansea. The vehicle crossed the carriageway and collided with trees. The sole occupant of the vehicle, a 30 year old man has sustained serious injuries.
Officers are mindful of the prevailing weather conditions at the time of the incident. However, at this stage the exact cause of the collision has not been established.
Any witnesses to the collision or anyone who may have seen the vehicle travelling immediately prior to the collision is asked to contact South Wales Police on 101 quoting reference number 1900359563.
Officers are also appealing for any dash-cam or mobile phone footage to be checked from members of the public who may have been in the location at the time.
