Tickets to Boomtown Chapter 12: New Beginnings – on sale Today (Wednesday 6th November) 7pm

Tickets to the UKs largest independent festival, Boomtown Fair’s much anticipated twelfth edition of the uniquely musical and theatrical festival go on sale this evening (Wednesday 6th November) at 7pm.

Boomtown will return to its home in the Matterley Estate in the South Downs National Park, nr. Winchester, over the 12th-16th August 2020. This follows on from the hugely successful CH11 event earlier this year, which included headliners such as Ms. Lauryn Hill, rock-rap supergroup Prophets of Rage, Carl Cox, The Streets, Chronixx, Chase & Status, Groove Armada, Salt-N-Pepa,  UB40 ft. Ali Campbell and Astro and Gogol Bordello. In total, over 1000 artists appeared on the festival’s notoriously eclectic line-up, which mixes a huge selection of genres on the festivals’ world renowned and jaw-dropping stages.

Never ones to take the easy route, ahead of this ticket release to next summer’s return of the fair the Boomtown crew have also been dabbling with other ventures and launched AREA 404, a brand new, 3,500 capacity permanent event space in Bristol. Opening its doors to the first shows last weekend (1st & 2nd Nov) for an almighty Halloween extravaganza, the largest venue in the South West has already captured the imagination of locals and Boomtown fans up and down the country alike after a high energy opening weekend… See here for more details.

Boomtown is the only festival on the planet to mix up such a huge range of musical styles with interactive immersive theatre and immaculate stage sets. It has an evolving storyline that drops plot points throughout the year, which includes a whole subplot of the ARG Interactive Maze role play game, that guides players on a journey through the storyline in the build up to the festival ready to be played out when all attendees reconvene in August.

In addition to all the entertainment elements, Boomtown is also known for bringing together a wide community of caring, fun loving eccentric characters and attendees into a huge social experiment on how to make the world a better place for 5 days, and hopefully beyond! This year saw the festival collectively grow a forest of 71, 725 trees in rainforests across the world through their partnership with reforestation charity,  TreeSisters to help tackle the climate emergency.

Tickets are expected to fly out this evening and anyone wanting to get their hands on the lower priced options are encouraged to register and do their research in to the multiple different ticket and instalment options.  Prices start at £209 (+BF & Ecobond) for Tier 1 public Transport Saver. The ticket page can be found here, with all ticket price breakdowns here including all FAQS, plus a walk through video on how to purchase your ticket online here.

“We are so excited about everything that Chapter 12 has in store…  At the 2019 festival it felt that the balance was just right in terms of the production, operations, music, theatre and social messaging elements of the festival. In 2020, we want to build on all of this to keep the festival ever evolving and expanding on all the elements that make us truly unique. We genuinely can’t wait to start sharing some of the plans and to see where this insane project can go next!”Lak Mitchell – Boomtown co-founder
