Thousands of Ceredigion residents have already completed their census rehearsal questionnaire but for those who haven’t – time is running out!

Online questionnaires must be submitted by Friday 15 November by 3pm.

Ceredigion was chosen as one of just four areas for the census rehearsal, where for the past two months households have been helping the Office for National Statistics test some of the systems and processes it has put in place ahead of the digital-first 2021 Census.

Deputy National Statistician Iain Bell said: “I want to thank everyone in Ceredigion who has already completed their questionnaire – we’ve had a great response. However, time is running out, so if you can fill in your questionnaire as soon as possible you’ll be helping us ensure we run the best possible census in 2021.”

To get help filling in the questionnaire online, face-to-face assistance is available at Aberystwyth Library, in Queen’s Square or the Ceredigion Mobile Library until Friday 15 November.

Anyone who wishes to request a paper questionnaire will need to do so by Friday 15 November.

Those completing a paper questionnaire have an extra week to ensure their completed forms are posted by Friday 22 November.

The census takes place every ten years and hosting an operational rehearsal in key areas like Ceredigion helps ensure that processes run smoothly when it comes to the national event.

A range of accessible support is available for members of the public at census.gov.uk. People in Wales can also call 0800 169 2021, text 86677 or tweet @census2021help. An interpretation service is also available on 0800 587 2021.
