Special fair is a real treasure

Fans of collectibles, curios and classic antiques should make their way to the National Botanic Garden of Wales next weekend (Jan 25-26) for displays of Welsh art and pottery, quality jewellery and outstanding militaria.

The various venues in this special setting provide a stunning backdrop for more than 100 stalls.

And there really is something for everyone, from furniture to fishing reels, Wemyss ware to Welsh wool blankets, paperweights, paintings, Victorian linen and vintage clothing.

The organiser, Brita Rogers of Derwen Fairs, said: “This is the 10th year the fair has been held at the Botanic Garden and its success is down to the diversity and quality of the antiques on display. It is an amazing place to hold the fair; such a lovely setting and yet just minutes from the M4.”

The Garden is open from 10am-4pm both days and admission is just £6 and includes full access to the Antiques Fair.

There is plenty of free parking and it’s Doggy Weekend, too, so bring your pooch for a mooch among the many and varied stalls.
