New Layout and artists at the Gallery
We’ve had a refit and its looking grand, so spacious!
Also we are welcoming some new artists – Ruth Jayne Lewis, Adele Alafakis and Guest artist for February Yvonne Boxall.
Come along and enjoy a new influx of creativity!
Ruth Jayne Lewis
I love using watercolours and mixed media using Indian ink and pencil. My subject matter are mainly landscapes, seascapes and architecture as well as aviation. The surrounding landscape in which I live is my biggest inspiration, I am drawn by light, shadow and colour.
Adele Alafakis
Having learnt to paint icons on the Greek Island of Patmos Adele continues to produce high quality egg tempura pieces across a range of subjects.
Guest Artist: Yvon Boxall
I love art that says something and isn’t just decorative, whether that’s people, portraits or textured mixed media pieces. I am drawn to the plasticity, look and feel of paint – I want the paint to look like paint.
My style is leaning towards the abstract, post impressionistic and I love the feeling of getting lost in the work, at one with the paint, a stream of consciousness flow.
