Update to missing person enquiry – Michael O’Leary from Nantgaredig

A Dyfed-Powys Police spokesperson said: “Dyfed-Powys Police continues to investigate the disappearance of 55-year-old Michael O’Leary, from Nantgaredig, who was reported as missing on Monday evening, January 27 2020.

 

“A 52 year old man from the Carmarthen area has been arrested as a result of enquiries, and is in police custody. The family have been updated in respect of this development, and are being supported by specialist officers.

 

“A search of the river Towy and surrounding areas is continuing today, involving a specialist dive team from South Wales Police.

 

“We are keen to speak to anyone that may have been travelling between Capel Dewi and Carmarthen, between the hours of 8.05pm and 10.30pm, on Monday 27 January. Anyone with any information about Michael’s whereabouts or movements since Monday, or anyone with any information that may assist the investigation, are also asked to contact police by calling 101.
