Man charged with murder in connection with the disappearance of Michael O’Leary
Andrew Jones, 52, from Bronwydd Road, Bronwydd, Carmarthen, has today been charged with the murder of Michael O’Leary from Nantgaredig, who was reported missing on Monday, 27th January, 2020. He will appear at Llanelli Magistrates Court tomorrow, Tuesday 4th February 2020.
The family of Mr O’Leary have been informed of this development and continue to be supported by specialist officers at this difficult time.
Mr O’Leary has not been found and searches are continuing at several locations in the Carmarthen area with teams of officers dedicated to the operation. The investigation team is being supported by national specialists.
DCI Paul Jones said
“The investigation and the search for Mr O’Leary will continue as we strive to find answers for the family. Our thoughts remain with them at this very difficult time.”
“We are still appealing for information on any sightings of Mr O’Leary on Monday night, 27th January 2020 or any sightings of his vehicle, a silver Nissan Navara, travelling between Cwmffrwd and Capel Dewi between 8pm and 10pm the same night, or from anyone with information who was in this area during these times. I would urge anyone with information to contact police by phoning 101.”
