Llanelli man arrested for illegal waste dumping and burning

During the morning of Wednesday 5th February 2020 an operation was conducted by National Resource Wales, Llwynhendy Neighbourhood Policing Team and the Arson Reduction Team from Mid and West Wales Fire Service as part of an on-going investigation relating to an illegal waste dumping and burning site located in Bynea.  During the operation searches at various locations have been conducted and one person has been arrested and is in custody awaiting interview.

Sergeant Gemma Davies from Llwynhendy NPT said “We rely on our community to share information with us to target and tackle crimes of this nature.  By working with partner agencies we can effectively deal with offences, keep our communities safe from harm from such offences and reduce demand placed on front line policing.”

The public can contact 101 to provide information or report offences or can do so anonymously through crime stoppers.
