Fairtrade Llanelli will be promoting Fairtrade Fortnight by visiting as many places around the area as possible.
The Community Group that has achieved Fairtrade Zone Status for Llanelli, helps promote and educate businesses, organisations, schools and residents about Fairtrade and its 10 Principles.

“We’re going on a Roadshow for Fairtrade Fortnight and it’s so exciting!”
“We’re visiting schools, Family Centres, the St Elli Centre, and on Shrove Tuesday, we’ll even be making Vegan Pancakes outside Kind Earth in Sandy.”
The full itinerary is:
- Tuesday 25th February: Shrove Tuesday at Kind Earth, and Coop Sandy. from 11am-1pm. Then in the afternoon, we’ll be at Ysgol Gymraeg Ffwrnes.
- Friday 28th February: Outside Felinfoel Co-op – 11am -12pm. Afternoon, Llanelli Multicultural Network drop-in session at St.Paul’s 1pm-2.45pm.
- Saturday 29th February: Llanelli LGBTQ+ Support Group’s LGBT Month Coffee morning, 11-12.45. YoYos Kidz Club- 1 till 3pm.
- Monday 2nd March: 10-2pm – St Elli Centre, with the Llanelli Standard and Carmarthenshire LGBTQ+ Project
- Tuesday 3rd March: 10-11 Burry Port Family Centre
- Wednesday 4th March: 10-11 Trimsaran Family Centre,
- Thursday 5th March: Co-op Llangennech, then Hendy County Primary School, at 2.15 pm. In the evening, CETMA Food Surplus Project’s Curry Night Fundraiser. From 7pm at the Sultan, Llanelli. Tickets are available.
- Saturday 7th March: 9-12 The monthly Kidwelly Market. 12-3pm PM- International Women’s day, Selwyn Samuel Centre.
The group will be joined on the Roadshow by organisations such as Llanelli Standard, Carmarthenshire LGBTQ+ Project, Llanelli LGBTQ+ Support Group and CETMA.
“We’ll be providing Fairtrade Chocolate Cupcakes and Bananas for those that come and talk to us about Fairtrade, so if you see us, come and say hello.”
