The Project sees the group visiting LGBT History month events, hold workshops and then stage an event that will share the heritage of the Llanelli LGBTQ+ Community.

The group are also aiming to encourage the Llanelli community to come forward with their LGBTQ+ heritage, share pictures and help celebrate the rich heritage provided for by the LGBTQ+ community.

Julie Hughes, Head of Investment Wales says:

“Thanks to National Lottery players, ‘LGBTQ+ History’ makes it possible for people to celebrate their history in Llanelli.  The group will choose what they want to research, what they want to save, and how they want to share their history with their community.”
