A massive Thank you to Llanelli Sospan Road Runners who donated £1,000 to Ward 1 at Prince Phillip Hospital

Ward sister Laura Froggatt said

“We are truly grateful for the generous donation from Sospan road runners. The donation with other monies will be utilised on creating a dementia friendly environment including new lighting of artificial windows, furniture for group activities and clear signs of orientation to enhance patient stays.”

Bethan Hopkins who nominated Ward 1 said

“I’m a proud runner with Sospan Road Runners, proud because it’s the friendliest running group I know and proud of the charity work we do by holding our 10k and MT10 each year with all profits made being donated to chosen charities each of which have been chosen by members because they are close to their hearts. I chose Ward 1 as I have been part of the team working as a HCSW and have seen first-hand the hard and unconditional help and love they give to each patient. The work is hard, heavy, emotional, draining but very rewarding and so I thought that with the money raised, £1,000, this could go towards whatever the ward has in mind to keep these wonderful patients happy, and to keep their minds as active as possible.

We are all very grateful for allowing us to present and display this giant cheque to Ward 1 PPH.
