We are reassuring our communities that our care and services continue as usual, following the announcement by the Chief Medical Officer for Wales.
People can continue to attend for their appointments, procedures and to access urgent care, as they normally would.
The general public can help protect themselves and their communities by following Public Health Wales advice particularly washing hands and using a tissue for symptoms associated with cold and flu.
Anyone who has travelled to the specified areas, or think they may have symptoms of COVID-19 should not attend health facilities such as GP surgeries, Emergency Departments and Minor Injury Units but should self-isolate and if appropriate call NHS 111.
Ros Jervis Director of Public Health for Hywel Dda University Health Board said: “We are extremely proud of our staff who are working hard to protect the health of our communities in response to COVID-19. We are working with our local, regional and national partners, including Public Health Wales, the Welsh Government and Dyfed Powys Local Resilience Forum, to implement our planned response to outbreaks such as this.
We are grateful to the co-operation of our communities and our staff.”
