Our store hours are changing

An update from Graham Bell, CEO B&Q

Over the last few days, we have seen increasing numbers of customers keen to make home improvement purchases. We recognise the important role homes will play in all our lives over the coming weeks and months especially. For most of us they will be where we work, rest and play.

We also play an important role in providing an essential service for those who have emergency repairs to make in their homes to keep them safe and warm at this time.

That said, it’s important to us that we prioritise our colleagues’ and customers’ safety. We have taken the decision to reduce our opening hours on Mondays to Saturdays from 8am to 5pm. Usual Sunday hours will apply.

Furthermore, we will be restricting the number of customers in store at any one time to help protect customers’ and colleagues’ personal space. We have increased in-store communication about respecting space as well as adding visual ‘safe-space’ markings to help customers around the checkouts.

I would ask you to be understanding of these additional measures if you need to visit our stores.

Our online business, DIY.com is open 24/7. We will continue to offer a contactless home delivery service and we are enhancing our click and collect service to bring items to customers’ cars directly.

Please keep safe and look after yourselves and your loved ones as a priority.

Together, we can do it.

CEO
