At times like these, it’s vital to keep reaching out to those in need. And no one deserves our
support more than the tireless NHS staff working around the clock to protect those we love.
That’s why London-based gifting company Bookblock have launched their Positive Post
campaign. Customers can send free postcards to friends and family across the UK while donating money to the NHS Charities Together* COVID-19 Urgent Appeal .*
Customers can choose from dozens of free postcard designs from collaborators including
illustrator Malika Favre, Michelin starred chef Tom Kitchin and 2019 Great British Bake Off winner David Atherton. You then have the chance to donate money to the NHS Charities Together COVID-19 Urgent Appeal to protect the wellbeing of NHS staff on the frontline.
As well as supporting the NHS, Positive Post is a chance to reach out to loved ones in a
safe, secure and cost-effective way . With many of us cut off from loved ones, Bookblock are hoping they can spread a little joy in these challenging times. Each postcard is customisable too, so you can send a personal message to those that matter most.
Positive Post has received support from artists and influencers but, most importantly, our
healthcare heroes. NHS worker, Charlotte Geblocki, reached out to show her appreciation.
“I am an NHS worker and I love to illustrate in my free time. Thank you so much for this project – it is so thoughtful. Some days are so hard but you make us stronger. I wanted to let you know how amazed I’ve been at the resilience and adaptability of our frontline workers. We’ve been redeployed from outpatients to ITU, others have been trained in procedures which they’ve never performed before. It’s such a hard time for us all but thanks for the support, it means more than you know. Here is my own motivational postcard which I painted. From the NHS, to the NHS.”
Positive Post will run throughout the Spring with money raised going towards the NHS Charities Together COVID-19 Urgent Appeal . In the face of adversity, community is more important than ever. Bookblock hope they can do their bit to remind us we’re all in it together.
