Local residents in Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion and Pembrokeshire are being informed that the local Sexual Health Service has temporarily suspended all non-urgent appointments and walk-in open access clinics in line with current social distancing advice during the Coronavirus pandemic.

Alternatively, to ensure patients can continue to access care, the Hywel Dda University Health Board Sexual Health Service will be operating a temporary telephone advice line from Monday to Friday, 9am – 5pm, for patients and health professionals. The number to contact is 01267 248 674 and a team of senior sexual health professionals will be available to provide advice and support as appropriate.

In addition, the service will be running an emergency service once a week in each county and patients should call the telephone advice line (01267 248 674) for a telephone assessment to ensure they are appropriately triaged and provided with the best care and treatment for their needs.

People requiring a test for sexually transmitted infections (STIs) can access home tests online at www.friskywales.org. Anyone with a positive test result for a sexually transmitted infection should contact the above number to arrange an emergency clinic appointment.
