It’s important that we look after our own wellbeing at any time, but more so now during the current COVID-19 pandemic.
In times of stress, some of us may find ourselves, or family and friends around us, drinking more alcohol than usual. A recent survey by Alcohol Change UK found that, since the lockdown was introduced, 21% of people reported drinking more frequently and 15% drinking larger amounts.

Ros Jervis, Director of Public Health at Hywel Dda University Health Board said: “Managing how much alcohol we drink is one of the most important things we can do to look after our mental and physical wellbeing. It’s especially important during the Covid -19 pandemic when stress or anxiety levels may already be high, so I encourage anyone who feels they need support to get in touch with the service.”

Mae’n bwysig ein bod ni’n gofalu am ein llesiant ein hunain ar unrhyw adeg, ond yn fwy felly nawr yn ystod y pandemig cyfredol COVID-19.
Ar adegau o straen, efallai y bydd rhai ohonom, neu deulu a ffrindiau o’n cwmpas, yn yfed mwy o alcohol na’r arfer. Canfu arolwg diweddar gan Alcohol Change UK, ers cyflwyno’r cloi fod 21% o bobl wedi nodi eu bod yn yfed yn amlach a 15% yn yfed symiau mwy.
Gall alcohol effeithio ar ein hwyliau, ansawdd cwsg, perthynas a llesiant cyffredinol.
