The Llanelli Community Partnership have provided much needed support to CETMA’s Surplus Food project.
The Project, based in Llanelli, set up an emergency foodbank to help distribute food to those that are in the greatest need.
Over the last few weeks, the Partnership have delivered food donations which cost in excess of £200. Also, the project has received deliveries of essential items from the Llanelli Covid-19 Support Scheme that the Partnership set up with Llanelli Town Council.
“Paolo Piana, Chair of Llanelli Community Partnership said, we have been delighted to work with CETMA and our partners in Llanelli and support them through the Llanelli Covid-19 Scheme with Llanelli Town Council and distributing donations of food that have been delivered directly to us.”
“I would like to thank all the amazing volunteers at CETMA and all the other food distribution/food banks in Llanelli who have shown amazing community spirit at this difficult time”
Colette Ingram, Surplus Food Manager said:
“We thank the Llanelli Community Partnership for their donations during this terrible time. The foodbank relies on the generosity of the community, and it has been amazing to see how much everyone has been helping each other.”
