We live in a world where sports is not just a hobby, but peoples passion and livelihood with both players and fans surviving through their love of sports, from horse racing to football. Although sports are beloved around the world, some continents, countries and cities are a cut above the rest when it comes to showing the rest what it means to be the best. Here are the sporting capitals of the world that not only are populated by amazing fans showing their support for their favourite teams, but also home to the greatest events in the world of sport, so let’s take a look.

England. Home of Horse Racing

When it comes to the wonderful world of horse racing, England has its fair share of prestigious races with worldwide attraction, not just local. The long-standing love of the sport and attraction to the races has allowed historic events to withstand the test of time and alongside them, the traditions that come along with them. Fans of the sport all have a passion for betting on racing tips.

Some of the most popular races, such as the Grand National, Royal Ascot and Cheltenham Festival result in people travelling from all over to not just spectate the fabulous races, but also to take part in the exciting world of betting that comes hand in hand with horse racing, an industry that results in each o these events generating millions and millions of pounds.

The races are popular for so many reasons, from the thrill and the excitement to the history, but English races, such as Royal Ascot, have kept attractive traditions in place for the many years in which they have been running, one in being the strict dress code that ensure the class of the sport is intact year after year. Other races attempt to do the same but with more lenient view on the idea, Ascot is the most famous for the continued elegance amongst guests, with drinking being somewhat monitored as well to prevent rowdy behaviours ruining the annual event.

foot ball is hands down the worlds most popular sport, with over half of the entire population calling themselves fans of the sport, this has led to events being held across the globe and almost every country being as football crazy as the next, but when it comes to the true home of football excellence, Europe is often at the forefront of peoples minds, but why?

Although it is clear that the FIFA World Cup is the most popular event in the sport, evident by the fact that it is viewed by around three and a half billion people, however, this does not mean that it is the greatest display of football talent, this crown is often given to the European tournament – UEFA Champions League. This tournament is renowned for amazing football skill as it includes some of the best teams and player across the world, with the like of Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo playing head to head, that sure to send the crowds crazy.
