Police in Llanelli have charged a man after a 36-year-old was found in the street with head injuries.
Dyfed-Powys Police received a report that a man was laying on the pavement on the corner of Copperworks Road and New Dock Road at around 10am yesterday (August 27).
The victim has sustained a serious head injury and remains in hospital.
Officers swiftly attended and placed blankets over the victim to protect him from the weather until colleagues from the ambulance service arrived.
Following a number of enquiries, two men were arrested on suspicion of assault causing grievous bodily harm.
A 48-year-old has been released on bail, while 24-year-old Kyle Gregory, of Embankment Road, has been charged with wounding or inflicting grievous bodily harm with intent.
Officer in case DC Jo Grey said: “Officers conducted swift enquiries at the scene where we were able to identify two suspects.
“However we would like to still speak to any witnesses who may have seen the incident, and appeal for anyone with any information in relation to it, to get in touch.”
