South Wales Police is appealing for witnesses to a fatal road traffic collision which occurred on the A4067 in Morriston between the roundabout for Junction 45 of the M4 motorway and the A48 Clase Road, at approximately 2:40am this morning (Friday September 25th 2020).
The collision involved a white Mercedes van and a male pedestrian. Unfortunately, the pedestrian, a 48 year old local man was declared deceased at scene.
Specially trained officers are supporting the man’s family at this time.
The road remained closed for several hours while investigations were completed.
South Wales Police thanks members of the public for their patience and understanding at this time and apologise for any inconvenience caused.
South Wales Police is appealing for anyone who witnessed a man walking on the A4067 in the vicinity of McDonalds, or witnessed the manner of driving of a white Mercedes Sprinter van and also anyone with dash cam footage to ring 101 quoting occurrence number 2000350736.
