Cardiff-based partnership homes developer Lovell has appointed a new Operations Director to its growing team.

Nigel Watkins recently re-joined the leading housebuilder with over 40 years’ experience across a variety of market sectors, utilising various forms of standard and bespoke contracting arrangements.
Previously working at Lovell for six years, Nigel began working as a Regional Commercial Manager before being promoted to Regional Commercial Director, and now rejoining the leading housebuilder as Regional Operations Director.
Nigel’s new role is to lead the operational team across the regional business, entailing safety, quality and programming to ensure homes are delivered on time and to the highest industry standards. His role will also ensure the organisation runs smoothly and efficiently whilst working towards the common goal of achieving a five-star HBF housebuilder rating.
Before re-joining Lovell, Nigel spent a year working as the Head of Commercial at YTL Developments and had previously spent three years working as Chief Operations Director for a construction and timber frame business.
Nigel, who lives in South Gloucestershire, said: “I’m constantly impressed with how well the entire team at Lovell works together, with great communication and exceptional leadership within all departments. I’m thrilled to be back working for such an exciting company that is continuing to grow.”
