Time and again do I hear, ‘when there is anti-covid 19 jab, I will go
out again and feel safe’. But how long will these individuals be waiting.
For a vaccine to be successful it needs to be tried and tested, and that will
take time.
We have to live, and adjust to the new norm. Covid-19 is endemic, in
other words it is with us for good. Just because in 2 years’ time maybe
there is a wonder ‘jab’, it doesn’t mean it will be perfect for everyone, and
after all with the winter flu jab that doesn’t agree with some, and neither
will the vaccine be protection against all Covid strains? Covid has been with us
since the 1960’s.
I feel the following adage is appropriate. Just because you have had the anti
Cholera jab and the anti-Typhoid jab doesn’t mean to say you will be safe
drinking dirty water.
Living with the ‘new normal’ is the future, finding a way to get out and breath
the fresh air is more important than being scared for the rest of your days.
Yours sincerely,
