The roll-out of cashless payment machines in Pembrokeshire County Council’s car parks is continuing this month.

Cashless payments can now be accepted at Dale, Goodwick Parrog and on a second machine at St Thomas Green, Haverfordwest.

Over the next few months 36 machines across the County will be converted to accept cashless payment.

The move follows a decision by the Authority’s Cabinet in 2019 to phase out traditional cash machines.

The Council’s Cabinet Member for Infrastructure, Cllr Phil Baker, said: “People tend to carry less cash these days and being able to use a card means far less worry about having the correct change.”

Motorists who regularly use car parks can apply for a pre-paid permit via the Council’s website https://www.pembrokeshire.gov.uk/parking-in-pembrokeshire/car-parking-permits

Applications can also be made by emailing: parking@pembrokeshire.gov.uk
