Kate Griffiths, British Red Cross Director for Wales said: “Today’s announcement will impact people all over Wales in different ways and our coronavirus telephone support line is there for anyone who needs help or could just benefit from a chat with someone kind and compassionate, to process how they’re feeling. And it’s not just about telephone support. Our support line volunteers have a wealth of information about local community and voluntary sector groups who can help, as well as the ability to refer urgent cases to Red Cross teams in someone’s local area.”

The Red Cross’ free Covid-19 support line 0808 1963651 is a one-stop-shop for emotional support and practical help. The line is confidential and open to anyone. For those who don’t speak English, translators are available and people can email SupportLine@redcross.org.uk if they prefer.
