                         Album Review

This months album review Travis with their 9th studio album 10 Songs. The band formed in Glasgow in 1990, members are Fran Healy, Dougie Payne, Andy Dunlop and Neil Primrose, first charted with their debut album Good Feeling in 1997, but it wasn’t until 1999 where they achieved commercial success with the album The Man Who featuring the single Why does it always rain on me? Which was a massive hit at festivals during the summer.  Here’s my review of the album with songs being marked out of 10

Track Listing

1. Waving at the window 7/10

2. The only thing feat Susanna Hoffs 7/10

3. Valentine 8/10

4. Butterflies 7/10

5. A Million hearts 7/10

6. A Ghost 8/10

7. All fall down 6/10

8. Kissing in the wind 7/10

9. Nina’s song 6/10

10. No love lost 7/10

A nice easy listening album from Travis, the band would have influenced the likes of Coldplay, Idlewild, Snow Patrol, Keane and Lewis Capaldi.  Not a stand out album to go back to listen to over and over, but none the less a good album and I would  recommend buying it.  Overall I give this album 7/10, all thoughts are my own, If you have a suggestion for a future album review then get in touch with me eevans@llanellistandard.com
