Public Health Wales finally publishes localised data

For weeks, Welsh Conservatives – including Andrew RT Davies MS – the Shadow Health Minister – have made repeated calls for the Welsh Labour-led Government to published localised data to show the spread of Covid 19.

At last, today (October 20), Public Health Wales has published this data.

Mr Davies said:

“Week in, week, out, we have been urging the Minister to make sure that this information is available and used to – where proportionate and appropriate – impose localised and hyper-localised lockdowns.

“And today, just three days before a second national lockdown is imposed on Wales, Public Health Wales has finally published the data.

“It’s far from being a case of ‘Better late than never’. This data surely was available before and therefore should have been used to influence and direct policy. Instead, it will rightly cause many people across vast areas of Wales to question just why they are being sent into a national lockdown.”
