Glangwili Hospital in Carmarthen has installed a second, temporary CT scanner to help reduce waiting times.
Located in the courtyard behind the outpatients department, the new scanner will allow outpatients, who have experienced longer waits due to the pandemic, to be scanned without needing to enter the hospital.
Sarah Procter, Lead Superintendent Radiographer, said: “The temporary scanner will be in place for six months and is an important investment to help us provide more scans in a safe, socially distanced environment. I’d like to thank everyone involved in the procurement and installation of the scanner.”
