It could be you – the chances of winning this life-changing luxury property in Snowdonia are 130 times better than the National Lottery

As the popularity of property prize draws increases, promoters are coming up with increasingly ingenious ways to temp would-be punters.

It’s not unusual for a property raffle to ‘throw in’ a car as an extra incentive, but charity fundraisers Martin and Sue Stephenson have gone one better – they’re throwing in a second house!

Tickets for the raffle at www.winadreamproperty.co.uk are just £3 each, giving someone the chance to become the proud owner of a beautiful chapel conversion in Snowdonia, Wales, which comprises TWO houses, valued at £700,000.

As well as changing someone’s life, the couple hope the prize draw will enable them to donate an impressive £100,000 to Alzheimer’s Society, a charity close to their hearts after Martin’s father was diagnosed with dementia.

They are selling the dream property to move closer to him and Martin’s mum, who live in North Yorkshire.

If ticket sales achieve their target figure of 330,000, the chances of winning the prize are many times higher than that of winning the National Lottery – more than 130 times higher, in fact.

The houses boast a total of seven en-suite bedrooms. The main property is Capel Jerusalem but the second house, Capel Vestry, is no pokey annexe.

Martin said: “With Jerusalem Vestry, we took the opportunity to show off the fabulous roof structure and created a guest suite, on the top floor. In terms of floor space, Jerusalem Vestry is almost as big as the two- storey Capel Jerusalem.”

The exciting part is that it offers a genuine opportunity to escape to the country and ‘retire’ with an income from a ready-made business.

Sue explained: “For the last two years we’ve been living in Jerusalem Vestry and renting out Capel Jerusalem.

“As a luxury holiday let, rental rates are as high as £2,400 per week and the income from the Chapel is more than enough for us to live on. We choose to work one day per week, because we’re slightly obsessive and like to get involved on change-over days.”

As part of the prize, both houses will be fully furnished, including a baby grand piano, sauna and hot tub. The chapel will be fully equipped, with everything it needs to continue operating as a 5-star holiday let.

Jerusalem Vestry Suite has also been rented, on a room only basis, and has proved extremely popular with couples visiting the area. It provides the opportunity to meet new people and top up the income.

If you really want to make the most of the area and the business opportunities, you could follow in Martin and Sue’s footsteps.

Martin is an active member of Aberdovey Mountain Rescue Team and, as a qualified Mountain Leader, he offers guided walks in the area. To maximise rental revenue for off-peak weekends, they also operate ‘Inside Out Snowdonia’, offering yoga and walking retreats.

Sue said: “We love meeting people and hosting events. Capel Jerusalem lends itself to yoga, with its open plan space and underfloor heating. We had to cancel some of our 2020 events due to Covid, but this is something that the new owner could easily revive.”

Alternatively, you could just kick back and retire in comfort, in an absolutely stunning part of the world. With mountains, rivers, waterfalls and beautiful forest walks on the doorstep, Capel Jerusalem is a short drive from the majestic Cadair Idris and the wide sandy beaches at Tywyn and Aberdovey.

The promotion is well on its way to achieving the ticket sales target of 330,000, which will enable the houses to be given as the prize, with a £100,000 donation to Alzheimer’s Society. The closing date is 11th December and the prize draw will take place on 18th December. To find out more about both homes and how you could change your life, visit www.winadreamproperty.co.uk

Chris Manley, Alzheimer’s Society Philanthropy Manager, said: We are very grateful to Martin and Sue for choosing support Alzheimer’s Society in this way – it really is an incredible gesture.

“Right now, people living with dementia need our support more than ever because of how hard the coronavirus pandemic has hit them.”
