Interview with Erik King about the launch of the new casino guide

Before we begin, we’ll first take a look at what the gaming industry is all about and what better than the person who was on both sides of the court, the editor-in-chief and author of Gambla, Erik King.

– Hi Erik, we understand that you have a busy schedule, that’s why we appreciate you giving us a moment of your time; we know that you started in 2011 in the online gaming industry, and today you are known as a complete expert in the world of casinos.

That’s why we would like to know a little more about its beginnings, its past for example… Tell us a little about how it started? 

Erik: – Thanks to you for the invitation, we are really excited about Gambla but first let’s go through my past. 

As you just mentioned, I started in 2011 and time helped me to get to know the industry in depth. I was lucky enough to be both an operator and an affiliate, which led me to know and understand the needs of the two main business purposes and to be the marketer that I am.

– What led you from operator to affiliate?

It was while working as a business developer with a former online casino operator, which was called Instacasino. I remember that at that time I was anxious, I really wanted to be part of the team and understand the business inside and out. 

Especially knowing that a former affiliate was the creator, which made me be even more interested, so I started looking for opportunities to get started.

Having the experience on the operator side, I had the idea that there could be affiliates who would look for someone who was knowledgeable about the industry rather than someone who was completely new. 

It was more difficult than I thought at first to be honest, but what can I say? I was very lucky.

– We understand that you were the editor of Zambino, and you were awarded for three consecutive years as Casino Analyst of the Year. Would you tell us how you achieved this?

As I said, I was very lucky. One day I came across an online casino marketer, this one was from an affiliate marketing company, with whom I started to have a very good relationship and soon it was heard that I would take over one of their most important projects, “Zamsino”.
