The Rat Pack epitomised cool in the 1960s. Their impromptu sell–out shows caused a stir and attracted the rich and famous; it was a must-have ticket to see these guys joke around and sing some of the finest songs ever written.
For a three-week period during the filming of Ocean’s 11 in 1960, the movie’s stars – including Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin and Sammy Davis Jr – performed on stage in the Copa Room at the Sands Hotel and Casino, Las Vegas. These iconic performances were known as the “Summit at the Sands” and considered to be the birth of The Rat Pack.
Fast forward several decades and their music remains as popular today as it was all those years ago…
The Definitive Rat Pack is best known as the original cast members of The Rat Pack: Live from Las Vegas which played in London’s West End and on international tours, including the USA, Canada and Europe (see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Rat_Pack:_Live_from_Las_Vegas). Stephen Triffitt, Mark Adams and George Daniel Long have for more than 12 years faithfully recreated that era and now come together again in their own and more personal show which is playing sell–out dates in all corners of the globe.
The international press has said of them:
“Each performer is a master of his craft, but like the original Rat Pack, the real showbiz magic happens when all three work together. Brilliant!” – Paul Phear (Magic 105.4 FM)
“While each of the performers is excellent as his doppelganger, it is when they all come together that the magic really happens and their banter and camaraderie produces something special” – Paul Towers (Western Park Gazette)
“Stephen Triffitt ‘IS’ Frank Sinatra” – Arts Desk
“If he wasn’t Mark Adams he would be Dean Martin” – BBC
“George Daniel Long is an uncannily convincing Sammy Davis Jr” – Daily Mail
In this festive version of the show, songs include the ever-popular White Christmas, Baby It’s Cold Outside, The Christmas Song and Let It Snow, plus all-time favourites including Mack the Knife,
That’s Amore, Mr Bojangles and New York, New York. What better way to get into the festive spirit!
Joined onstage by one of Dean Martin’s delectable Golddiggers – played by acclaimed West End performer Hannah Lindsey (Dear Evan Hansen) – and the internationally-renowned Manhattan Swing Orchestra, take a trip back to a golden era and sit back and watch undoubtedly some of the world’s finest interpreters of Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin and Sammy Davis Jr.
This is one Christmas party not to miss…
