LET YOUR EMOJINATION RUN WILD

– Love Home Swap launches the first ever emoji-powered travel guide

  • Love Home Swap launches the world’s first-ever emoji-powered travel guide.  Travel-lovers will be encouraged to tweet emojis representing their ideal holidays, and in return receive individually tailored destination recommendations.
  • The emoji-powered travel guide has been created by the leading members-only home swapping club to provide some travel inspiration for 2021 – just in time for a return to normal travel.
  • Bringing some much-needed fun to 2020, the emoji service is being launched on December 14th at www.twitter.com/LoveHomeSwap.

Emojis are used in their billions every day across the planet and have changed the way people communicate. And over the last year, staying digitally connected has been more important than ever. So, inspired by the emoji’s centre-stage presence in our lives, leading home swapping platform Love Home Swap is launching the world’s first-ever emoji-powered travel guide.

Injecting a little fun into 2020, travel-lovers are invited to tweet @LoveHomeSwap several emojis representing what they want from their ideal holiday. In return, each person will receive a bespoke, mini travel guide based on their choice of emojis – including a recommended destination, things to see and do, and a link to a gorgeous home swap property in the area.

So how does this work in practice? If a person tweets emojis of a whale, golf, sun, mountain, beach and wine, Love Home Swap may recommend a home swapping holiday in British Columbia, Canada – a destination that boasts all of these attractions and features, as well as a range of incredible home swapping options.

“Based on these emojis, Love Home Swap recommends British Columbia, Canada. There, travellers can enjoy sandy beaches, surfing, stunning mountain scenery, world-class golf courses, orca watching tours and in Vancouver, a range of outstanding bars and restaurants.”

The emoji-powered travel guide has been created to provide travel inspiration for 2021, when it is hoped and assumed that international travel will become more accessible. The service is being trialled from December 14th via Love Home Swap’s Twitter page. Travel recommendations will be provided on a first come, first served basis for the first 100 tweets received.

Célia Pronto, Managing Director at Love Home Swap says: “Emojis are part and parcel of the way we communicate digitally, and with a further 217 set to be released next year, they’re not going anywhere. So we wanted to do something novel with them, that would also help people get excited about travel in 2021 and boost their wanderlust. With thousands available to choose from, you can build almost any home swapping holiday from emojis. And with our expertise, we can turn those little pictures into actual travel inspiration and the best home swapping recommendations.”
