The Welsh Government have confirmed that all adults in Wales will be vaccinated against Covid-19 by the autumn.
The Welsh Government, is publishing its own coronavirus vaccine “action plan” next week.
This will echo Mr Hancock’s statement and the same target will be set for Wales.
A Welsh Government spokesman said:
We are increasing the number of vaccination clinics every week as more vaccine supplies become available.
We are working with GPs and other healthcare professionals, including pharmacists to roll out vaccination across Wales.
“There is an enormous amount of work ongoing to make this a success and to get vaccines to people as quickly as possible – this is the biggest mass vaccination programme of its kind.
In Sundays briefing, Mr Hancock said:
Every adult will be offered a vaccine by the autumn, absolutely.
Of course, you have to do it according to need because somebody in a care home for instance is many, many times more likely to die if they catch coronavirus than somebody like me in my 40s.
“We have got 350 million doses on order; they may not all be here yet and we’re rolling them out as fast as they can be delivered, but we will have enough to offer a vaccine to everyone over the age of 18 and by the autumn.
I hope everybody will take that up.
Mr Hancock also added that he wanted to get all over 50s vaccinated by the spring.
People in priority groups will be receiving letters “in the weeks ahead” the Welsh Government have confirmed inviting them for the vaccination.
