Ceredigion Library will be holding a competition as part of World Book Day this year to encourage all children and young people in the county to join the library and enjoy reading.

The competition is for young people between 3 and 18 years old to win a new iPad. All you need to do is join Ceredigion Library as part of our ‘Every Child a Library Member’ campaign, and your name will be put in a hat for a chance to win an iPad.

The ‘Every Child a Library Member’ campaign will run between Thursday 4 March 2021 and Thursday 26 March 2021, to celebrate World Book Day on 4 March 2021. Our aim is to have as many children as possible to join their local library over the Web during this time.

To register, go to Ceredigion County Council’s website, look for the Ceredigion Library link, go to ‘Join the Library’ and fill in the registration form.

Keep your temporary card number and your pin number safe, and you can gain immediate access to the fantastic selection of e-books and audio books that the library has. Then, when our libraries re-open, you can come in to collect your proper library card and gain access to all the print books we have in stock.

Councillor Dafydd Edwards, Ceredigion County Council Cabinet Member for Highways and Environmental Services, Housing and Customer Contact, said: “Ceredigion Library has a wealth of reading resources that children and young people can enjoy from home. We encourage everyone to join their local library in order to take advantage of this special collection, and also to enjoy everything that reading can offer.”

If you are already a library member, don’t worry. Send an e-mail to library@ceredigion.gov.uk with your name and library card number, and we will also put your name into the hat.
