Over the last month officers with specially trained skills have joined forces with local teams to proactively tackle high-level offenders.Specialist Operations officers used a range of skills including drones, police dogs, search teams, and Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) to proactively deny and disrupt criminals the use of the roads.During the past month they have:

👮‍♀️ Targeted vehicles being used to transport controlled drugs during County Lines vulnerability operations

👮 Followed intelligence which lead to seizing controlled drugs and cash, resulting in arrests

👮‍♀️ Stopped vehicles and detained individuals for misuse of drugs

👮 Stopped vehicles and issued warnings of drivers carrying out anti-social behaviour

👮‍♀️ Seized vehicles and made arrests for drink and drug driving💬

Chief Inspector Helen Coulthard said: “As a Force we pride ourselves on responding to community needs with a proud, professional and positive service.

Specialist Operations officers being dedicated to supporting local teams has allowed us to allocate our resources in a progressive and proactive way to keep South Wales safe.”
