Interfaith for Palestine UK offers support for Direct Action

A network of faith based people from across Wales have released a video in support of one their members who took part in a roof-top protest against the Israeli owned arms factory. Elbit is an Israeli firm that produces 85% of the drones used by the Israeli military in daily surveillance operations and attacks in Gaza.

Nick Georges is a member of the Swansea-based Interfaith for Palestine group.
Motivated by his Christian belief to end the Genocide of the Palestinian people, Nick risked his life to climb over razor wire in February 2021 at the factory to make a dramatic protest. Windows were smashed and red paint was sprayed over the building. The 69 year old pensioner now faces a potential 10-year prison sentence for standing up for peace.

Joseph O’Neill, chairman of Interfaith for Palestine said today.

“Nick’s action will have saved Palestinian children from murder by Israeli regime drones. Nick’s Christian witness against one of the ten Elbit factories of Death in the UK is an example to us all. We cannot rest till these moral blots on the landscape of Albion are removed.”

He continued to say

” We have released this video today to help raise awareness of Nick’s protest and offer our support to him and to Palestine”

Those who wish to support Nick, may join Christians and moderate Jews outside Shenstone Court for the pre-trial hearing. Stafford, ST16 2QQ  at 9.30 am on Monday 29th March from 9.30 am. We ask that people join us in our peaceful interfaith demonstration of support.
