Are you sick and tired are trying to market your brand through traditional marketing strategies and spending endless amounts of money on something that doesn’t seem to get so much payoff? Have you ever thought about using social media to market your brand but are not too sure if it will actually benefit you?

In today’s day and age, if a business is only using traditional marketing, and no social media platforms or growth services, then it just won’t cut it. Almost every brand and business that has started now is using some form of social media platform in their marketing strategy, and on top of this, all of the big well-known brands have already been using Instagram for a while now.

There are so many benefits that come along with using Instagram to market your brand such as reaching an incredibly large audience, using growth services such as Growthoid, and not having to spend tons of money to reach them. It might be quite complicate if this is your first time, so here is everything you need to know when using Instagram as a first-timer.

Set up a business profile

It’s easy enough to just set up a regular profile and try to get that to work for your account, and while this may still be quite beneficial to any brand or business, you end up missing out on so many different opportunities that an actual business account will offer you. Instagram has noticed just how many brands and businesses have been making use of their social media platform and have implemented the business account feature to aid all businesses and brands and take full advantage of what Instagram has to offer them.

By creating a business profile, you allow for a call to action button to be placed directly into your bio which will let people contact you with one click of a button. It will also let you include locations and web addresses in your bio, add swipe up links in your stories for people to be taken directly to your website, and will also give you access to post your products on the Instagram shop when other users can look for specific items and yours will be shown to them even if they don’t follow you.

The different ways to post

Most social media platforms are known for their one specific way of posting content, but when it comes to Instagram there is no single forms of posting but rather a multitude in order to cater to everyone on the app.

First off, you have your standard feed, which is originally what Instagram was. Here you can post both videos and photos with a caption that goes along with it. Here you would typically only want to post once a day maximum so as not to come across as pushy or needy.

Next up is the stories. This feature is incredibly, placed right at the top of the screen, it is the first thing people will be likely to look at. Here you can post a multitude of short form videos or photos all day long because they are more in the moment and allow users to get a glimpse into your life.

Lastly, the newest feature added to Instagram was reels. Very similar to the famous TikTok, you can post short form videos here and it will be pushed, through the algorithms, to people who don’t necessarily follow you but are most likely interested in your content.

Strategies are important

As a business, you can’t just go into your marketing blindly and you should always have a strategy when posting to expand your follower base on Instagram. This strategy needs to consider, who you audience is, what kind of content they would like to see, when they are most active on Instagram to find out the most suitable posting time and so much more. Having a strategy is so important when it comes to social media otherwise you might as well just be firing blindly and hoping for success, which very often won’t happen.

With your strategies, you should also have goals set that you want to achieve in a certain amount of time. This will encourage you to put in the time and effort to grow both your brand and social media account.
