Shavanah Taj, General Secretary of the Wales TUC, said:
The next Welsh Government will not only be dealing with an economy that is almost 8% smaller than it was at the start of 2020, but also with a UK Government that seems determined to repeat the mistakes of the last crisis by failing to make the investment that’s needed to kickstart a proper recovery.
We know that for workers in Wales the priorities are strengthening our public sector and long overdue, large-scale investment in green infrastructure and skills. We must not miss this opportunity to rebuild an economy in Wales that works for everyone.
