Allowing the sector to trade again would “put a spring in the step of Welsh businesses” he said.
Mr Price praised the “collective effort of the Welsh public and frontline NHS staff” for their part in reducing case numbers and accelerating the vaccine rollout programme.
Speaking ahead of the next Covid review on Friday Adam Price said;
“The hospitality sector has suffered more than most since the beginning of the pandemic and has shown unbelievable resilience despite repeated periods of opening and reopening.
Allowing hospitality to reopen indoors, with appropriate measures in place, will put a spring in the step of Welsh businesses.
“Giving clarity today would allow businesses time to plan for reopening and make their premises Covid compliant so that customers can once again enjoy Wales’s excellent hospitality sector with full confidence in their safety.
“Most businesses still face the prospect of being closed for another month, without adequate financial support. Restart grants, similar to those made available by the Scottish Government must be rolled out in Wales to help businesses re-open progressively.
