From today, pubs, bars and restaurants re-open outside in Scotland and Wales. Alex Kindred, Car Insurance Expert at Confused.com, says:

“Pubs and restaurants re-opening for business outside is a welcome relief after months of lockdown, especially as we head into the summer.

“Although, amongst the excitement of enjoying our favourite tipple in a beer garden, it can be easy to forget that you could still be caught, even if you’ve only had the one drink.

“If you’re driving, don’t drink. And if you’re driving the next day, always make sure you’re leaving plenty of time for the alcohol to leave your system. Although working this out can be confusing, so our morning after calculator helps estimate when it’s safe for you to drive again.”
