Since the early launch of Operation Lion run by Dyfed Powys Police, Tenby was seen to be a much safer destination, compared to previous weekends Dyfed Powys Police have said.
Last weekend was the first full weekend of Operation Lion in Tenby.
Operation Lion is a partnership initiative with the aim to ensure public safety and deter anti-social behaviour, low level public order and drink related problems, to make Tenby an enjoyable place to live, work and visit over the forthcoming months.
Chief Inspector Louise Harries commented on the actions over the first weekend of the operation by saying on a whole, the majority of Tenby’s visitors enjoyed themselves safely.
However, “some people’s behaviour did get out of hand” the Chief Inspector said.
A number of Section 35 dispersal notices and 2 arrests were made as a result of these actions.
