Speaking after the BBC leaders’ debate, Welsh Liberal Democrat campaign chair and former Party Leader Lord Mike German said:
“Tonight’s debate showed that Jane Dodds is best placed to build bridges. She understands the details of policy and knows how to work with others to make change. She set out plans to put the recovery first and brought fresh, ambitious ideas forward on education, mental health and the climate emergency.
“Andrew RT Davies was in significant discomfort when questioned over his NHS plans. He did not have the answers on how many hospitals his party would build. His manifesto pledges five new build hospitals and we now know it is only two.
“Under Jane’s leadership, Welsh Liberal Democrats are targeting seats in every corner of Wales. If you want to put recovery first, vote Welsh Liberal Democrat.”
