Speaking during the debate on the relocation and expansion of Ysgol Heol Goffa, local Councillor Rob James, supported the decision. Cllr Rob James stated “I wholeheartedly support the decision to create a new school for pupils in Ysgol Heol Goffa.
“I had the privilege of visiting the school with trade union colleagues at the beginning of the pandemic to see first hand the measures that were in place to ensure the safety of pupils and staff. The team there are absolutely fantastic, as are the pupils.
“Whilst I will miss the school being in the Lliedi area, this proposal will benefit the all those connected with the school when they move in September 2023.”
