The LULUSIMONSTUDIO x Meghan King Capsule Collection consists of three uplifting tees inspired by the strength and potential of women with proceeds donated to the By Grace Foundation, a nonprofit that empowers women through education and service in Ghana, India, the USA, and more.
Inspired by and created for women, the collection is centered around women supporting women. “It isn’t a new concept but I just love how in this particular moment, women are being celebrated for wearing a lot of hats and doing it well. We recognize that we are all different and we can love and respect all women for who they are, who they want to be, and what they want to accomplish,” says King.
The capsule collection consists of grey, white, and yellow tees, made from 100% cotton. Each tee features a powerful graphic designed to champion the large community of strong and fearless women in our lives, and reflects the mission of the By Grace Foundation. The playful “Wildlife” tee features a selection of sunglasses, alluding to the different roles women often assume in their everyday lives. The powerful “Woman” tee shows two feminine hands clasped in show of solidarity. The “Wild” tee depicts a set of large cat eyes, representing the wild animals that can be found in Kruger National Park, which is adjacent to where the foundation is building a sewing workshop for local women to learn skills, earn a fair wage, and sew supplies for counter-poaching rangers. These efforts help protect endangered animals to preserve the ecosystem and economy that sustains the communities.
